This beautiful 90 minute workshop is for busy parents looking to drop into the restful and mindful space of Yin Yoga. You will be guided through breath practices, grounding and heart opening poses to re-centre and reconnect with body and mind. Each workshop is centered around a theme of mindfulness and nurturing self.
What is Yin?Yin Yoga is a floor based, more meditative yoga practice. In Yin yoga, the poses are held typically from two to five minutes to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) and fascia. Props such as bolsters, blocks Yin is a practice for our whole being. It offers the opportunity to mindfully and compassionately move the body and mind, to drop more deeply into the parasympathetic or 'rest and digest' nervous system. With regular practice it can increase flexibility, mental clarity and decrease our reactivity.
