This beautiful 90 minute workshop is for busy parents looking to drop into the restful and mindful space of Yin Yoga.Yin Yoga is a floor based, more meditative yoga practice. In Yin yoga, the poses are held typically from two to five minutes to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) and fascia rather than focusing on the muscles. Props such as bolsters, blocks and blankets are used to support the body to rest in the posture for a longer period of time and gain maximum physical and energetic benefit. Pranayama (breath practices) support us to stay connected to the present moment.Yin is a practice for our whole being. It offers the opportunity to mindfully and compassionately move the body and mind, to drop more deeply into the parasympathetic or 'rest and digest' nervous system. With regular practice it can increase flexibility, mental clarity and decrease our reactivity.A perfect practice for Busy Parents!
